LEUNG Yuk Wing Added Another Bronze for Hong Kong in Boccia Individual

Mixed BC4 Individual bronze medal match took place on the eight competition day (1 September) morning and saw Hong Kong’s LEUNG Yuk Wing playing against Chinese bowler Yuansen Zheng.  LEUNG established an 4-point lead at the first set, but Yuansen Zheng claimed back all four points in 2 round’s time.  The thrilling end saw LEUNG grabbed the all-important final score to take the match at 5-4 and won the bronze, the second medal at the Games for Hong Kong.

In athletics Women’s 100m T36 heats, YAM Kwok Fan crossed the line at 16.15 to ranked 10th and failed to qualify for the final.

Hong Kong Team will participate in Badminton Men’s WH2 and SH6 Singles pool events, boccia Mixed BC3 and BC4 Pairs plus Men’s and Women’s 100m Backstroke S14.  Archer NGAI Ka Chuen and runner YAM Kwok Fan will return home with Cathay Pacific Airways flight CX521 tomorrow afternoon and are expected to arrive at 9:20pm (Hong Kong time).
