Tokyo 2020 Paralympics kicks off tomorrow Hong Kong Team Arrived in Batches and Trained for the Games

Different sports teams have arrived Tokyo, Japan and moved into the Paralympic Village in batches since 19 August.  Archery, equestrian, swimming, table tennis and wheelchair fencing teams started pre-games training so as to get themselves familiar with the competition courts and gear up for the events.  Equestrian athlete TSANG Tin Chi Timothy’s horse has not fully recovered from its injury, to ensure the safety of the rider and horse, unfortunately Timothy will withdraw from Mixed Dressage Individual Test Grade III.  The equestrian team formed by TSE Pui Ting Natasha, Fleur Mei Kuen Maria SCHRADER and TSANG Tin Chi Timothy will also withdraw from the Mixed Dressage Team Test to Music Open.

The Hong Kong Delegation will participate in the Opening Ceremony held at Olympic Stadium tomorrow (24 August), runner YAM Kwok Fan and swimmer HUI Ka Chun will be the flag bearers and lead the Delegation member in the Parade.  Members of the public could enjoy the event by watching TV broadcast.
