Athletics and Boccia Teams Set out for Tokyo 2020 Paralympics

Athletics coach CHOI Hei Fung, athlete YAM Kwok Fan, the boccia team, National Paralympic Committee Representative LAM Chun Ying Martin alongside Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs TSE LING Kit Ching, Cherry set out for Tokyo, Japan this morning (23 August). President Mrs. FUNG MA Kit Han, Jenny and Chairman Dr LAM James Joseph showed support to Delegation members and saw them off at the departure hall. The teams will be in the final stage of preparation after arrival and will compete in their first events on 28 August.
The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games is set to take place from 24 August to 5 September with around 4,400 Para athletes from more than 160 countries and territories competing across 22 sports. A total of 64 Delegation members, including 24 athletes, will represent Hong Kong in the Games and take part in eight sports.
