Flag Presentation Ceremony for the Hong Kong, China Delegation to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games
The Flag Presentation Ceremony for the Hong Kong, China Delegation to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games was held today on 12 August at Hong Kong Government House.
The Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled is honoured to invite The Hon Mrs. Carrie LAM CHENG Yuet-ngor, the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Ms. LU Xinning, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, accompanied by Mr. Caspar TSUI Ying-wai, Secretary for Home Affairs, and in the presence of other distinguished guests to present the HKSAR flag to the Hong Kong, China Delegation. Ms. WU Siu Ling, Chef de Mission of the Hong Kong Delegation, CHAN Yui Lam, swimming athlete and LEUNG Yuk Wing, boccia athlete received the flag on behalf of the Delegation.
The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games is set to take place from 24 August to 5 September. A total of 64 Delegation members, including 24 athletes, will represent Hong Kong in the Games and take part in eight sports, namely archery, athletics, badminton, boccia, equestrian, swimming, table tennis and wheelchair fencing.
